Seed Amnesty

Saved Seeds

It’s not a Seed Swap – it’s a Seed Amnesty!

We couldn’t go ahead with the Seed Swap, so this is an opportunity for you to share seeds you have collected, but with no knowledge of who will receive them. How you bag up and label seeds is up to you (you might want to use this as an opportunity to promote your projects) but at the very least please indicate what type of seeds they are and where they came from.

This will take place for one month from 17th February to 17th March 2021 at Rooted in Hull urban farm and shop (St Peter Street, Hull, HU9 1AA – next to Royal Mail.)

PLEASE NOTE: People will only be able to drop off and collect seeds on the following specific days each week:

  • Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 11am to 2pm.

This means people will be coming and going on different days/times, this is intentional.

People SHOULD NOT arrange to meet one another at Rooted. This is essential as in order to adhere to Covid-19 restrictions we cannot have too many people on site at the same time, this is to protect your health and that of the wider community across Hull.

As this will work along a lucky dip idea, we can’t guarantee what seeds (if any) will be available at any given time. After 17th March, any leftover seeds will go to people buying veg/plants from Rooted.
